Electrical Contracts Manager

Serving Clients for over 20 years within the Hull and Humber region, and further afield, an opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic team with an existing client portfolio servicing the local industry including petrochemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, and energy generation.

The ideal candidate will be people focused with a strong basis in electrical installation works, ideally having worked as an electrical technician and supervisor with a proven track record for delivering complex projects safely, on time, and on cost. With a vision to expand the installation and construction arm of the business, the timing is perfect for a motivated individual to make their mark and become an integral part within the business for years to come.

Whilst this role is suited to an experienced Contracts Manager, consideration will be given to persons demonstrating the right attributes who are looking for a development opportunity and a new challenge.

Overview

Location: Predominantly based within Hull and servicing the Hull and Humber Region with working away as opportunities and needs arise.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 per week (additional hours may be available / required)

Working Time: Flexible to meet business needs, typically Monday to Friday between the hours of 07:30 to 17:00

Salary: £50,000+ negotiable depending on experience, qualifications, and competency

Job Profile:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of construction projects (predominantly electrical in nature) ranging in cost from £000’s to £000,000’s
  • Manage a team of electrical technicians and apprentices responsible for health, safety, and quality
  • Securing and cementing existing relationships with clients and the supply chain
  • Acting as the companies Qualified Supervisor under the NICEIC Approved Contractor scheme
  • Member of the companies health and safety steering committee and making key contributions to ensuring the ongoing safe operations within the business
  • Estimating and quoting works

Technical / knowledge requirements:

  • Time served electrician with inspection and testing qualifications
  • Experience within relevant industry sectors ideally on tools, as a supervisor, and with some management / leadership experience
