
Phil joined Inspec in 2006 and has progressed through the organisation to his current role as Managing Director. He is responsible for leading all technical aspects of the business, including project management, innovation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. His Chartered status with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) reflects his commitment to excellence and professional development.

Wray Brown founded Inspec in 2004, leveraging extensive experience gained in demanding, complex, and high-hazard environments. Under his leadership, Inspec has developed a strong core team of engineers capable of delivering a wide range of projects to the highest standards. Today, Wray continues to provide specialist consultancy services, offering invaluable industry knowledge and guidance to both the team and clients.

Bryn is a highly skilled and time-served Electrical Technician with extensive experience in the installation, testing, and inspection of electrical, control, and automation systems at LV and below. His expertise spans fire and gas detection systems, door access controls, and building security solutions. Having progressed beyond hands-on technical work, Bryn has successfully transitioned into the role of Installation Manager. In this capacity, he oversees the delivery of diverse contract projects, managing teams of technicians and administrative support staff to ensure all works are completed to the highest standards—on time, within budget, and in full compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Paula brings over 30 years of experience in the Oil & Gas engineering sector, specialising in end-to-end project procurement and project services. Her expertise spans supplier assessment, contract review, risk management, and budget oversight. Working closely with a team of engineering professionals, Paula ensures seamless integration of procurement operations into overall project delivery. Her role is supported by a strong technical understanding of engineering disciplines, making her an invaluable contributor to successful project execution.

Sue has been an integral part of Inspec for the majority of its 20+ year history, providing essential support that forms the backbone of the company’s operations. She ensures the accuracy of all financial records, timely processing of payments, and the smooth management of business-critical utilities. From payroll and rent to insurance arrangements, Sue oversees every detail to guarantee continuity. Her role also includes managing supplier and subcontractor payments while maintaining strong client relationships to ensure prompt invoicing and cash flow stability.

Stuart is an accomplished and highly experienced member of the Inspec team, he is an EC&I Design Engineer with extensive expertise across multiple industry sectors. He has a proven track record in delivering complex designs, including machinery safety systems, electrical distribution networks, and ATEX-compliant solutions. Stuart is recognised for his ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and design processes, combining technical excellence with a strong commitment to occupational health and safety.

Kat joined the team several years ago and brings a unique perspective, transitioning from a hands-on technical background to an office-based role. She plays a pivotal role in supporting the installation division, managing labour and resource allocation, processing purchase orders, and handling estimating and quoting tasks. Kat also contributes to various technical engineering aspects, leveraging her broad understanding of installation requirements. Kat is an experienced designer who is well versed in AutoCAD and holds the ComEx Ex12 application designer engineer qualification. With exceptional organisational skills and a talent for coordinating teams, Kat is an indispensable member of the team and a key driver of project success.

Lewis began his career with Inspec over five years ago as a graduate engineer and quickly proved his ability to thrive in challenging environments. Immersed in complex projects from the outset, he has developed a broad and valuable skill set. Today, Lewis is recognised as a highly competent and versatile engineer, capable of delivering across multiple technical disciplines including electrical engineering, functional safety, and machinery safety including PLC, HMI and Systems Integration. In addition to his technical expertise, he provides essential project management and administrative support, contributing to the successful delivery of large, multidisciplinary projects.

Dave is a valued member of the FM team who has extensive experience in facilities maintenance within the blue-chip pharmaceutical sector, he provides planned leadership and operational management to ensure all preventative, legionella-related, and critical maintenance activities are executed in full compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations.
